National Camellia Congress

Camellias Australia meets annually for a National Camellia Congress. The 2016 National Congress will be hosted by the Queensland Camellia Society.

“Beautiful One Day!” promises to be a warm and welcoming congress running from Friday 28th July to Monday  31st July. The Queensland Camellia Society members are looking forward to sharing their little piece of paradise with you, and hope that you will come north to thaw out in July.

The venue will be the Novotel Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast so please pack your swimmers and sunscreen – and a hat.

Twin Waters Resort is a premium destination, nested between the Pacific Ocean and the Maroochy River. It offers a pristine beachfront location set amongst 36 hectares of natural bushland and surrounding a private beach-lined lagoon.

The Congress will include two full days of garden visits and we have a good range of gardens to see including the prize winning garden of an Open Gardens’ selector; a rainforest garden full of tropical delights and a private garden dedicated to camellias. We will have delicious dinners each night at Twin Waters, beginning with a private beach barbecue at the lagoon, and culminating with a 3 course silver plated dinner at Lily’s restaurant, which is an over water venue. We will also have a 2 hour sunset cruise on Whale One so that you see more of the Sunshine Coast tourist area.
